Kodak to Unveil ‘World’s Fastest’ Inkjet Press at Hunkeler

Kodak will showcase its Prosper 7000 Turbo Press, the “world’s fastest” web-fed, full-colour inkjet printing press, at Hunkeler Innovationdays 2025 in Lucerne, Switzerland, from 24 to 27 February. This is the first time the press has been showcased in Europe, and Kodak will showcase its “unrivalled” speed and versatility in industrial inkjet printing.
At the show, the company will be demonstrating a web press that uses Kodak Ektacolor water-based inks and features an unwinder and rewinder designed and manufactured by Kodak. The press has a print speed of up to 410 m/min and three print modes: Turbo, Performance and Quality. Kodak explains that these modes allow printers to fine-tune the optimum balance of speed and quality for each job, making it “an excellent solution” for converting large direct mail, commercial, transactional and book print jobs from offset to digital.
Jim Continenza, executive chairman and CEO of Kodak, said the company is excited to raise the bar for speed and productivity at Hunkeler Innovationdays.
He added: “This advanced inkjet press can help printers move from offset to digital printing and serve their customers profitably. Our Prosper press uses high-speed continuous inkjet technology and is equipped with proprietary Kodachrome and Ektacolor inks and Kodak Optimax primers to print a wide range of applications in a highly efficient and cost-effective manner, helping printers succeed in the era of ‘and’ printing.”
