       If you dream of being able to print on anything, then Printisian might be the app for you. This portable inkjet printer supports printing on a variety of materials and surfaces, including wood, paper, metal, fabric, leather, stone, and even food and leather.
       The modular design allows for easy replacement of various accessories such as edge locators, laser aligners and code scanners to suit specific printing needs.
       The printer features a 5-inch touchscreen, runs SianOS (based on Android), has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, and a replaceable 300mAh battery.
       The device can print text, images, date and time, as well as QR codes or barcodes at a speed of 35 cm/s. To use it: connect it to your phone via Bluetooth, add files and move the printer over the area you want to print.
       The Printisian supports two cartridge sizes and offers variable print heights and 600 dpi resolution. Each print can cover up to 39.3 inches, and each cartridge can print “up to” 1,531 yards.
       As with all printers, there’s the cost of ink to consider. Small color cartridges for the device currently cost $59 (originally $79), while large cartridges cost $129 (originally $169). The manufacturer says you can use any compatible cartridges from other manufacturers (the printer is designed to work with standard-sized cartridges), although they (obviously) recommend using your own cartridges, as some inks may not print well on certain surfaces.
       As with any crowdsourcing project, you should understand that backing a product does not mean it will be completed, nor does it mean you will receive the product you backed. However, at the time of writing, $65,601 has been pledged, well above the $6,385 target, so the outlook is promising.

       There are a variety of bonuses to choose from, and the Printisian Standard Edition costs $399. This includes the printer itself and a small 0.5-inch black ink cartridge. If you want to buy a version that includes various accessories, the price goes up significantly, but additional accessories can be purchased separately.
